I sent my daughter off to her first day of Junior High today! First, its sooo weird to think i have a child that old, because i dont feel very old. But, what was really weird was the feeling of excitement I had for her, well, not just for her...I kinda relived it for myself. Remember? new shoes, new kids, new notebooks, sharp pencils, those "oh so cute jeans". The whole year stretched out in front of you...blank slate, new beginnings! I was almost envious..but not really, just thrilled that my daughter has sooo much to look forward to. And you know what?...I realized something... as an adult, I dont even have to wait for the first day of school to start anew..to get exited about what lies ahead..to make goals, plans, friends...I can do that ANY day! And I choose to do it today!!!!
